New version of PR software now also optimized for tablets running iOS 8 and Android

With version 9, the PR software PressFile has now been given a complete makeover, both visually and functionally. A clear color language makes operation even easier and clearer. The new elegant and narrow Apple-style scrollbars appear only when needed, and thus no longer interfere with the transparent look of the central single-window operation.

New mail editor

Sending personalized e-mails has also become much more convenient and secure: This is helped by the new e-mail editor, which offers enhanced formatting functions and now also has a preview function and a full-page view. The e-mails can also be sent using either SSL or TSL encryption, thus complying with current data protection requirements.

More security

Server security has also been improved: PressFile now achieves the top grade “A” in the GlobalSign SSL Check. After completion of the ongoing pilot tests, PressFile V9 will be made available to all users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by the end of April. The upgrade of the web-based PR solution is included in the software rental and thus free of charge for users.

Mobile on the road

With the new version, PressFile can also be used on Android tablets or iPads, with one small limitation: combining different distributors is not possible, as this is not yet supported via the current touch screen technology. All other processes such as the management of press contacts and distributors, personalized e-mails, reporting, the creation of reminders and the transfer to the personal calendar or clipping management can be controlled transparently and easily via the web browser, even on the tablet.

More performance

By improving performance, PressFile version 9 now offers noticeably more speed, especially to users of older Windows versions or aging PCs and notebooks. “Those who have been working on the Mac and with a fast Internet connection will not feel as much of this. But it was important to us that even those who are not equipped with the latest equipment can enjoy their work more,” explains PressFile Europe Managing Director Uwe Pagel.
