In order to make its press relations processes much more efficient than before, the ROSSMANN group of companies will be using PressFile in the future. The PR software replaces a legacy system that was no longer able to meet current requirements. “This solution had been developed 15 years ago as an individual solution. But what was a tailor-made suit back then no longer fits today’s processes in press relations and corporate communications. Our suffering was correspondingly great,” says Stephan-Thomas Klose, press spokesman at Dirk Rossmann GmbH, summarizing the initial situation.

Convinced right away

The decision in favor of PressFile was finally made after a detailed online presentation.

“We were particularly impressed by the transparency and intuitive usability of PressFile. This will allow us to significantly simplify contact and distribution management processes in the future,” says Klose.

In addition to pure press relations, ROSSMANN will also cover other areas with PressFile, such as the mailing of customer magazines.

As the inventor of the drugstore discount in Germany, Dirk Roßmann opened the first drugstore in Hanover in 1972. Today, the ROSSMANN group of companies (headquartered in Burgwedel near Hanover) is Germany’s No. 3 major drugstore chain with around 29,000 employees and over 2,200 stores, including more than 1,500 in Germany and over 700 stores in Eastern Europe. With 17,000 drugstore articles, 8,000 of which form the core assortments for perfume, cosmetics and care products from leading manufacturers, ROSSMANN presents a particularly extensive range. Furthermore, ROSSMANN attaches great importance to an inexpensive photo service, a high proportion of environmentally friendly products and the company’s own quality brand program. Sales in 2009: €4.116 billion (Germany €3.125 billion).
