With the help of a direct connection, users of the PR software PressFile can now also distribute their press releases via the ots service of the dpa subsidiary news aktuell. This makes it possible not only to target your own press contacts via differentiated press distribution lists and personalized emails, but also to simultaneously use OTS distribution channels – including parallel publication of the releases in PressFile newsrooms and in a dedicated area of news aktuell’s press portal. “With this new connection, we are opening up the option for our users to directly integrate OTS into their PR communication via their own PressFile workflow. This allows them to drastically increase the reach of their press information when needed,” explains Florian Fischer, Managing Director of PressFile Europe GmbH. “We are pleased that PressFile Europe has now decided to integrate our OTS distribution network into their own platform,” says Vithunan Lingeswaran, Managing Director of news aktuell. “After all, OTS has been successfully established in the market for the distribution of PR content in German-speaking countries for more than three decades. It is our concern to make this service as easily accessible as possible to communication experts. Cooperation partners like PressFile are a perfect complement to this.”

To facilitate the distribution of press information across various channels for users, the ots integration has been directly incorporated into the PressFile workflow. In the first step, the release is recorded for publication in the general and/or one of the user’s own PressFile newsrooms. Subsequently, the release can be transferred with a single click to both the dispatch window for personalized emails and the ots input mask. With another click, it is then submitted to ots for review and simultaneously opens the corresponding window on the news aktuell website to complete the order there.

“The particular charm of this option is that users can freely decide which press information they want to distribute via ots and which they don’t. Costs are incurred only for the respective dispatch; the use of the interface and registration with news aktuell is free of charge”, explains Florian Fischer. With registration, a dedicated area is also created for each PressFile user in the news aktuell press portal, where the releases are published simultaneously with their distribution.

About news aktuell & ots:
news aktuell provides companies, institutions, and associations with effective access to media as well as consumers. Through the exclusive distribution network ots, PR and communication professionals can send their PR content directly to all media formats including traditional print titles, high-traffic online portals, or social networks. The communication materials thus reach directly into the editorial systems of all relevant media. Through the partner network of news agencies and relevant news and industry websites, maximum reach and attention are additionally achieved. Users also receive a presence with their own newsroom in news aktuell’s press portal. With an average of 11.5 million views per month, it is one of Germany’s highest-reach PR portals. Due to the high reach of the press portal, the releases are optimally listed in search engines like Google and the visibility of the content is increased.

About PressFile
PressFile Europe, based in Ulm, was founded in 2009 as a distribution organization for the web-based version of the US PR software PressFile. In 2011, the company took full responsibility for the further development of the application. In addition to numerous PR agencies, PressFile has particularly convinced many press offices of renowned companies and institutions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland of the solution, including Ziehl-Abegg, Trianel, Dr. Babor, and the German Alpine Club. Originally, PressFile was developed as PR software on behalf of the New York Public Library based on the FileMaker database system.
