First US customer relies on web-based solution from PressFile Europe

With the J. Paul Getty Trust, the first Us user is now relying on the web-based version of the PR software PressFile. PressFile is first introduced for press work at Getty Publications, the publishing subsidiary of the J. Paul Getty Trust in Los Angeles. The foundation also includes the J. Paul Getty Museum, the largest art museum in the world, not far from Beverly Hills. Here, the founder has collected about 50,000 works of art and made them available to the general public free of charge.

Getty Publications specializes in high-quality art books and is responsible for documenting the Getty Museum. Many of the works are also accessible online (http://www.getty.edu) as part of a virtual library. PressFile has so far been marketed exclusively in the FileMaker version in the USA. Users include renowned companies and institutions such as the New York Public Library, Harvard University Press and Time Inc.

“We are of course particularly pleased that the J. Paul Getty Trust is relying on PressFile, an institution with a very high level of renomee worldwide. We are also honored by the fact that a US foundation relies on a cloud solution hosted in Germany,” says PressFile Managing Director Uwe Pagel.

After this successful “re-entry” into the American market, he expects that the J. Paul Getty Trust will soon be followed by other institutions and companies.
